Maddy first knew she wanted to be a vet during one of her family’s regular visits with Dr. Scott when she was just five years old. She credits Dr Scott as her inspiration after observing the care and attention he showed to her family’s silky terrier, Casey (featured on the back wall of the clinic). This dream led her to complete several weeks of work experience at the clinic whilst in high school, begin part-time work as a kennel hand, and undertake a degree in Veterinary Science at Murdoch University.
